Alan Dzagoev resumed training with the rest of the Russia squad while his fellow midfielder Aleksandr Yerokhin missed the training session due to a minor foot injury, the team said on Tuesday.
Dzagoev sustained a hamstring injury during Russia's 5-0 drubbing of Saudi Arabia on June 14 and missed his side's next two Group A games.
"No injuries after the match against Uruguay. Alan Dzagoev resumes group training with some limitations. Aleksandr Yerokhin, who has a minor foot problem, misses the training," the team said via their official Twitter account.
Russia finished second in Group A after suffering their first World Cup defeat at the hands of Uruguay 3-0 in Samara on Monday and will face Group B winners Spain in their round of 16 match on Sunday.
