Egypt were based in the Chechen capital Grozny during the World Cup.

"There is no crisis in the team, [Mohamed] Salah didn't say anything about leaving, and we thank the head of Chechnya for the warm welcome and for his help to the Egyptian national team," Leheta said.

On Friday, Kadyrov received the Egyptian national team at his residence in Grozny and made striker Mohamed Salah an honorary citizen of the Chechen Republic.

Egypt failed to advance to the knockout stage of the World Cup after losing their first two group-stage matches to Russia and Uruguay and were beaten by Saudi Arabia 2-1 in their final Group A match on Monday.
