England finished second in Group G after losing 1-0 to Belgium on Thursday and will face Colombia in the round of 16 match on Tuesday.

"We have reached our goal, we have advanced to the knockout stage, and we're entering it with confidence in our abilities. Today we had an equal game, and both teams had chances. They [Belgium] scored an excellent goal, we didn't manage to do so, but we'll learn a lesson from it," Maguire told journalists.

The 25-year-old added that his team would focus on what they can do ahead of their clash with Colombia.

"First of all, we need to focus on our play in the knockout stage. If we play the same way as we did in the first two matches, then we'll win the game against Colombia," Maguire said.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on June 14 and will continue until July 15, with the matches being played in 11 cities across Russia
