England are more likely to beat Sweden and advance to the FIFA World Cup semi-finals, former Russia head coach Boris Ignatyev told Sputnik on Saturday.
Gareth Southgate's men will take on Sweden in the quarter-final at the Samara Arena on Sunday at 12am (AEST).
"I prefer England's play. Sweden play in rather a dull style, they are mostly predictable in attack... England, on the contrary, have shown that they play extremely well in defense... I think England have more chances to win today and advance to the World Cup semi-finals," Ignatyev said.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on June 14 and will continue until July 15, with the final set to be played at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium.
