England lost 2-1 to Croatia in the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup on Wednesday and will face Belgium in the third-place match in St. Petersburg on Saturday.

"This group will be definitely stronger in two year's time because of their age and their big match experiences... Really brilliant experiences this time that along with the painful experiences they went through last time will build resilience in them as a group," Southgate told journalists.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on June 14 and will come to a close on Sunday, with France facing Croatia in the final at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium.
