Former Spartak Moscow and Argentina forward Fernando Cavenaghi said on Saturday after the match between Argentina and Iceland that Spartak Stadium was "beautiful".
The match took place at Moscow's 44,000-seater Spartak Stadium earlier on Saturday and ended in a 1-1 draw.
"Go, Spartak! A very beautiful stadium," Cavenaghi said in Russian.
The 34-year-old retired footballer played for Spartak from 2004 to 2006. He was capped for Argentina four times.
The World Cup will take place until July 15 in 11 cities across the country.
