Radamel Falcao said on Wednesday that he was proud of his team's performance during the World Cup despite Colombia's elimination from the tournament after their defeat to England in the round of 16.
England beat Colombia 4-3 on penalties in Moscow on Tuesday, after the teams drew 1-1 in extra time. The Three Lions will now face Sweden in their quarter-final on Sunday.
"My heart is broken, but I'm proud of everything we did at the World Cup. I'm proud of this team, we did the best we could for Colombia on the pitch," Falcao said in Instagram.
"Thank you all for your support. I'm proud to be Colombian," he added.
