Over 100,000 tickets have been sold to foreign fans for the World Cup matches in Rostov-on-Don, head of the city's administration Vitaly Kushnarev said on Thursday.
"Overall, over 100,000 tickets have been sold to foreigners for the World Cup matches in Rostov-on-Don," Kushnarev told journalists, adding that more than 42,000 fans attended the World Cup game between Uruguay and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
The encounter between Brazil and Switzerland, which was held on Sunday, had the highest attendance so far.
"I think we will break that record and will have a capacity crowd during Mexico and South Korea match as well as during the round of 16 game," Kushnarev added.
South Korea will face Mexico in Rostov-on-Don on Saturday.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on June 14 and will continue until July 15, with the matches set to be played in 11 cities across Russia.
