France will take on Croatia in the final, which will be played in Moscow on Sunday.

"Now all my thoughts are focused on the World Cup final. This is the most important thing. I don't think about the Ballon d'Or," Griezmann said when asked how he rated his chances of winning the award.

He added that his role in the national squad had changed over the past few years.

"Now I am more involved in team actions, that's why I play differently from the way I played before," Griezmann said.

The 27-year-old Atletico Madrid player, who has netted three goals at this summer's tournament, also said that he cared more about lifting the World Cup trophy than scoring in the final.

The game will kick off on Sunday at 18:00 Moscow time (15:00 GMT).
