KAZAN, June 15 (Sputnik) - France forwards Kylian Mbappe and Olivier Giroud trained with the rest of the squad, after recovering from their respective injuries, ahead of the team's first FIFA World Cup match against Australia, a Sputnik correspondent reported on Friday.
Mbappe injured his left ankle during training on Tuesday while Giroud had been training individually due to a head injury.
France, who claimed their only World Cup title on home turf in 1998, were drawn to Group ะก and will play Australia in Kazan on Saturday, before facing Peru in Yekaterinburg on June 21 and Denmark in Moscow on June 26.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will last till July 15, with the games set to be played at 12 stadiums across 11 Russian cities.
