Peru were knocked out of the World Cup after losing their first two Group C games to Denmark and France and will face Australia in their last match at the tournament in the Black Sea resort of Sochi on Tuesday.

"For us the match tomorrow is as important as any other game... We have been eliminated, it's true, and we should think about why that happened. Everything that happened here at the World Cup will help Peru grow. It's going to be a very useful experience," Gareca told journalists.
