Russia midfielder Yury Gazinsky says his team will try to leave behind their victory over Spain in the round of 16 and focus on their next World Cup game against Croatia.
The host nation will take on Croatia in the Black Sea resort of Sochi on Sunday morning (AEST) after edging out 2010 World Cup winners Spain on penalties.
"I'm in a good mood, trying to forget that match [against Spain] and prepare for the Croatia game," Gazinsky told journalists.
The 28-year-old FC Krasnodar player also said that Russia had "worked a small miracle" for their fans by beating Spain to reach the quarter-finals for the first time.
