“Thank you for congratulating [me], we won a very important match… [A lot of] positive emotions, always [feels] great when you become a part of the history. We lacked support before the game, and that is very important. It is always hard to fall asleep after matches [because of] the pressure, emotions,” Gazinsky told journalists.

Following their victory against Egypt, Gazinsky said Russia would be looking to beat Uruguay in their final Group A game and would not be looking to settle for a draw. They will face the South American side on 25 June.
