Russia midfielder Gazinsky scored the first goal of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in the opening match of the tournament on Thursday as hosts Russia took on Saudi Arabia at Moscow's 81,000-seater Luzhniki Stadium.
Gazinsky, who plays for FC Krasnodar in the Russian Premier League, headed home the opener 12 minutes into the game.
Russia's first-ever World Cup will be held at 12 arenas across 11 cities with the final set to be played at Luzhniki on 15 July.
