Germany and Brazil are widely considered the two teams most likely to win the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Russia, a poll conducted by Ipsos MORI revealed on Thursday.
According to the survey, a total of 23 percent of respondents believe that Germany will defend their title, while 21 percent think Brazil will be the eventual winners.
They were followed by Spain, Argentina, France and Portugal (11, 8, 4, and 3 percent, respectively), with only 2 percent of respondents believing Russia can win the World Cup.
The survey was conducted online from April 20 to May 4 among over 12,000 people, aged 16 to 64, who were based in 27 countries.
Russia will host the 2018 FIFA World Cup from June 14 to July 15.
