The Russia players should not overestimate the team's victory in their second FIFA World Cup match against Egypt and prepare as planned for their next games, warns their midfield star Aleksandr Golovin.
Russia beat Egypt 3-1 in St. Petersburg on Tuesday to all but secure a spot in the knockout stage of the tournament.
"It is crucial now not to overestimate this success and get ready for the next matches, so this is what we are going to do. We played fine against Egypt. It's important that there was good tempo, we felt quite well physically. But I repeat, the game against Egypt is history now. We need to move forward," Golovin said.
Stanislav Cherchesov's men will next face Uruguay at the 42,000-seater Samara Arena on June 25.
