Belgium captain Eden Hazard criticised France’s tactics after his side suffered a 1-0 defeat in their semi-final in St. Petersburg, saying he would rather lose with his team, than win the way France did.
Earlier on Wednesday (AEST), Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois accused Didier Deschamps’s side of playing "anti-football."
“Would I want to win as a part of the France team? France are the winners, and as a player you want to win," Hazard told Belgium sports network Sporza.
"But I prefer to lose for Belgium, rather than win for France. We play better football, in a style that suits me."

France v Belgium player ratings
France defender Samuel Umtiti scored the only goal of the match in the 51st minute, to help his team reach the World Cup final, where they will face either Croatia or England. Belgium will play in Sunday’s third place play-off.
Courtois also told Sporza he was not impressed with France's style of play.
“France played anti-football. It’s their right to play this way because they know it’s not easy for us to deal with something like that, but it was not pleasant to watch," Courtois said
"They did not play better than us. They defended well, and that’s it. The (outcome of the match) was defined by details."
The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on June 14 and will continue until July 15, with the final set to be held at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium on Monday morning (AEST).
