Mexico striker Javier Hernandez, commonly known as Chicharito, said on Monday that his side are leaving 2018 World Cup in Russia with their head held high after the defeat from Brazil.
"We tried to do everything in our power in the match against Brazil. Not everything was successful, but we are leaving the World Cup with our head held high," Chicharito said.
Mexico lost 2-0 to Brazil in their round of 16 match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup at the Samara Arena earlier on Monday, which means Mexico crashed out of the tournament at this stage for the seventh successive time.
