The Icelandic national football team, which has qualified for the World Cup for the first time in its history, has arrived in Russia ahead of the tournament, the team’s press service said on Saturday.
“We have arrived in Russia at the FIFA World Cup!” the team wrote on Twitter.
The team, which is set to face Argentina, Nigeria and Croatia in Group D, will be based in the southern Russian resort city of Gelendzhik and will be training at the Olympus Arena.
