A fan from Iceland was taken to hospital after he had suffered a heart attack, the Volgograd Region's public health committee has said.
"An Icelandic citizen was hospitalised after suffering a heart attack. His condition required surgery," the health committee said.
Iceland will play Nigeria in Volgograd on Friday.
