With one point from their first two matches, Iceland will play Group D leaders Croatia, who have already booked a place in the last 16 after beating Nigeria and Argentina, at the Rostov Arena on Tuesday.

"Croatia showed themselves well in the first matches at the World Cup. They are a more united team, it is obvious for everyone. If they keep playing this way, they will go far at this World Cup. We are impressed by this team. But we have also grown up to play with them as equals," Hallgrimsson told journalists.

The head coach added that Iceland are always positive and ready to play for victory.
