Russia defender Sergei Ignashevich became the oldest player to score an own goal at the World Cup in his country's game against Spain.
The CSKA defender, who is now 38 years and 352 days old, netted an own goal in the 12th minute to open the scoring in the Round of 16 match at the Luzhniki Stadium.
The record had previously been held by Honduras goalkeeper Noel Valladares, who scored in to his own net in a 2014 World Cup match against France at the age of 37 years and 43 days.
Ignashevich is Russia's most capped player. The Spain clash is his 126th game with the team since 2002.
