Colombia head coach Jose Pekerman said on Thursday, that midfielder James Rodriguez, who was substituted with an apparent injury soon after the half-hour mark in their match against Senegal, will undergo a medical test.
"I would rather not comment [on Rodriguez’s substitution]. He trained fine up till yesterday, could hit the ball. There were no injury problems. But, honestly, I do not know at the moment what is his condition, there is no information on him. We need to wait, he went to do a medical expertise. We hope for good news," Pekerman told journalists.
Colombia edged out Senegal 1-0 in their final Group H game in Samara on Thursday to move into the Round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup.
