Zenit St. Petersburg and Serbia defender Branislav Ivanovic became Serbia's most capped player after the FIFA World Cup match against Costa Rica, FIFA announced on their Twitter account on Sunday.
Serbia edged out Costa Rica 1-0 in Samara earlier on Sunday.
The former Chelsea defender made his 104th international appearance, surpassing the previous record of 103 caps set by midfielder Dejan Stankovic.
Serbia and Costa Rica are playing in Group E along with five-time World Cup winners Brazil and Switzerland.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will last till 15 July, with the games set to be played at 12 stadiums across 11 Russian cities.
