Midfielder James Rodriguez will not start for Colombia in their first FIFA World Cup match against Japan in Saransk.
On Monday, Colombia head coach Jose Pekerman said that the 26-year-old, who was the top scorer at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil with six goals to his name, was a doubt for the Japan game.
Instead, he has named Juan Quintero, Juan Cuadrado, Carlos Sanchez, Jefferson Lerma and Jose Izquierdo in midfield, supporting lone striker Radamel Falcao.
