Japan's players cleaned up their changing rooms after each of their World Cup matches, according to one of the tournament's organising committee members.
On Tuesday, Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri said via his official Twitter account that the Japanese national team cleaned their changing room after Monday's match.
"It's true, after each match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup the Japanese national team did the cleaning in the changing rooms leaving them almost spotless," Lisin said.
He also thanked Japan and their supporters for their participation in the tournament.
"The Russia 2018 Local Organising Committee would also like to thank the Japanese national team and its fans for their bright participation in the World Cup. We are sure that your responsible attitude towards attending the tournament has won Russians' hearts," Lisin said.
Earlier, photos of Japanese supporters cleaning the stands after their national team's matches in Rostov-on-Don and Saransk were shared on social media, with Japan defender Maya Yoshida later saying that it was their duty to represent their country "with dignity."
