Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived in Moscow on Thursday and will take part in the opening ceremony of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the presidential press service said.
"The head of state arrived in Moscow with a working visit. Within the framework of the visit, Nursultan Nazarbayev will participate in the opening ceremony of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and attend the first match of the tournament between the national teams of Russia and Saudi Arabia," the Kazakh leader's press office said.
From June 14 to July 15, Russia hosts the FIFA World Cup for the first time in history, with the matches set to be held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Yekaterinburg, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Volgograd, and Samara.
