Russian Sports Minister Pavel Kolobkov said on Tuesday that he had “great” expectations for the World Cup match between the hosts Russia and Egypt.
“The expectations are great. I always hope for the team to win, regardless of who they are playing – be it Brazil, Argentina or Egypt. I believe we will win,” Kolobkov said.
Egypt lost 0-1 to Uruguay in their first game of the World Cup, while Russia earned three points after the 5-0 defeat over Saudi Arabia.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will continue until 15 July, with the matches set to be played in 11 cities across Russia.
