Salah hurt his shoulder in the 31st minute of the game after a collision with Real Madrid defender and captain Sergio Ramos. The 25-year-old star was crying after being taken off the field. Midfielder Adam Lallana came on to replace Salah.

Salah, who scored 44 goals in 51 games for Liverpool this season, now could be in doubt for Egypt's World Cup campaign.

Russia's first-ever FIFA World Cup will take place from June 14 to July 15 at 12 venues in 11 host cities. Egypt was drawn in Group A along with host Russia, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.
