Tottenham Hotspur and France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris said on Wednesday that he was happy for his clubmate Harry Kane who helped England to win their opening World Cup match, but he was more focused on his own country.
Kane bagged a brace in the Group G match against Tunisia on Monday, helping England to record a 2-1 victory.
"Of course, we always wish each other all the best and keep in touch. I am glad that he, being the team's captain, helped them win the first match. But right now we are with our national teams and I am focusing on France’s matches,” Lloris told journalists.
France defeated Australia 2-1 in their first Group C match on Saturday. Their next match at the tournament will be against Peru in Yekaterinburg on Thursday.
