MOSCOW, July 5 (Sputnik) - Chairman of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Local Organizing Committee (LOC) Arkady Dvorkovich told Sputnik on Thursday that he was hopeful that all Russia players would give their all in order to beat Croatia in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
The host nation, who defeated 2010 World Cup winners Spain on penalties on their way to the last eight, will take on Croatia in Sochi on Saturday.
"I am looking forward to the match. We hope that every one of our footballers will give 200 percent [for the win]. We will be supporting our guys and are hoping for the successful result," Dvorkovich said.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off in Russia on June 14 and will continue until July 15, with the games being played in 11 cities across the country.
