Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez said on Wednesday that striker Romelu Lukaku has escaped serious injury but will still miss the match against England in Kaliningrad on Thursday.
Lukaku has not trained this week because of an ankle injury he suffered during Belgium’s 5-2 win against Tunisia.
"We have good news. Lukaku escaped the serious injury. Today he will not be training, while he recovers, and tomorrow will be too early for him to play," Martinez said.
Belgium will take on England in their final Group G game. Both teams advance to the knockout stage and will fight for the first place in the group.
