Russia will face Saudi Arabia in the opening game of the FIFA World Cup at Moscow's 81,000-seater Luzhniki Stadium on Thursday.

“Every day we get more and more information about Saudi Arabia. The team is trying to play forward, the players are running, all the passes are forward… it is not a team that sits back in defense and waits for their chances, it is a team that tries to play attacking football, it’s a pleasure to play with such teams,” Lunev told reporters.

Lunev is likely to play second-fiddle to established first-choice keeper Igor Akinfeev, of CSKA Moscow, during the tournament.

Saudi Arabia and Russia will also face Uruguay and Egypt in Group A.
