Brazil defender Marcelo says his injury isn't serious after he had to be withdrawn from the action in the opening stages of Brazil's 2-0 win over Serbia this morning.
"Thank you all for your messages!!! Thank God it's not serious!!! I'll be back soon!!! I'm very pleased with the victory!!!" Marcelo posted on his Twitter account.
The five-time World Cup champions beat Serbia 2-0 in their last group-stage match at Moscow's Spartak Stadium and advanced to the round of 16 on Wednesday. Marcelo was substituted in the 10th minute.
Brazil will face Group F runners-up Mexico in the round of 16 match at the Samara Arena on Monday.
