Mexico were eliminated from the World Cup after their round of 16 defeat on Monday for the seventh time in a row.
Mexico lost 2-0 to Brazil in their round of 16 match of the 2018 World Cup at the Samara Arena earlier on Monday, which means Mexico crashed out of the tournament at this stage for the seventh successive time.
Mexico's best achievement at the World Cup was advancing to the quarter-finals, in 1970 and 1986. On both occasions, the tournament was held in Mexico.
