Croatia midfielder and captain Luka Modric was named the Man of the Match following his side’s 2-0 win over Nigeria in their opening match of the World Cup in Kaliningrad.
An own goal put Croatia in front and Modric’s second half penalty secured three points for the Balkan nation.
Croatia will next face Argentina on Thursday, while Nigeria will take on Iceland on Friday.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on Thursday and will continue until 15 July, with the matches set to be played in 11 cities across Russia.
