"The mayor set the task to fully complete infrastructure preparations by May 25, it has been accomplished. We, city's services, are completely ready to host the World Cup," Biryukov said.

He noted that all the sports facilities, such as the Spartak and the Luzhniki stadiums, and the Fan Zone were prepared to welcome the visitors.

Russia will host its first FIFA World Cup this summer. The fixtures will be played at 12 arenas across 11 cities.

Moscow's 81,000-seater Luzhniki Stadium will host seven World Cup games, including the opening match on June 14 and the final on July 15, while the 45,000-seater Spartak Stadium will host a total of five games, including one round of 16 match.
