The Group H encounter was held at Moscow's Spartak Stadium and ended in a 2-1 victory to Senegal.

"There were many unlucky factors. We are responsible for the final result, and our intentions were different. However, plans are one thing, and their implementation is another thing. Statistically, everything was better for our side than for the opponent, but the score was not in our favor. The wingers did not work very well, everything was not so good in the center [of the pitch], everything was not too dynamic in general - that's what kept us from scoring the second goal," Nawalka told journalists.

He added that the team should have played differently as they had spent plenty of time analyzing Senegal’s style of play.

"The team will recover after today's match, and our application will be much better in the encounter with Colombia," Nawalka said.
