Brazil forward Neymar said on Sunday that he was not injured during his side’s 1-1 draw with Switzerland in Rostov-on-Don earlier in the day.
Neymar started to limp in the first half of the match, but managed to finish the game. This was his first start since March and he only briefly appeared in a warm-up match for Brazil in early June against Croatia after almost three months out with a foot injury, which required surgery.
“I had ice applied to the leg and that is why I am limping a bit now. It hurts a little, but it is not something to worry about. It is not an injury,” Neymar said.
Brazil will play Costa Rica on Friday and Serbia on June 27 in their remaining group stage matches.
