Senegal forward M'Baye Niang was named the man of the match after his team's 2-1 win over Poland in their first game of the 2018 World Cup on Tuesday, FIFA said on their official website.
The Group H encounter was held at Moscow's Spartak Stadium and ended in a 2-1 victory to Senegal. The West African team opened the scoring 37 minutes in after Idrissa Gueye's powerful shot on goal was deflected into the net off Polish defender Thiago Cionek, while Niang doubled his side's lead in the 60th minute.
