Mexico head coach Juan Carlos Osorio said Sunday that Brazil, his side's next opponents at the World Cup, were "the strongest team in the world."
The match between five-time World Cup winners Brazil and Mexico is set to take place at the Samara Arena on Tuesday morning.
"I hope we'll manage to stand up to Brazil who are currently the strongest team in the world. We need to create problems for their defenders, and we have enough skills and good players to do it. I hope that the guys will cope with the pressure," Osorio told journalists.
He added that even teams who could not "boast a long success story" had a chance to win the tournament.
"I don't think that Brazil will be bothered with the fact that many favourites have already crashed out from the tournament. I wouldn't emphasise Argentina's crashing out, they faced France, who are very tough opponents. In football, even teams who can't boast a long success story have a chance to win. There may be just one goal in the course of the match that becomes decisive," Osorio added.
