Mexico head coach Juan Carlos Osorio says he's counting on the referee being fair when his team face Brazil and their striker Neymar in the World Cup Round of 16 match.
“I hope for a just referee for the sake of fair play, I don’t mean to criticise anyone or discriminate. We must simply concentrate on the game,” Osorio told journalists.
On June 22, Costa Rica forward Marco Urena slammed Neymar after he tried to earn a penalty during their match against Brazil, urging the South American forward to play fair and follow the rules of the game.
Dutch referee Bjorn Kuipers awarded a penalty to Brazil for an apparent foul on Neymar in the 78th minute, but reversed his decision after consulting a video assistant referee.
