Mexico lost 2-0 to Brazil at the Samara Arena on Monday and were eliminated after the round of 16 for the seventh straight time.

"I think that we played quite well... we controlled the game. But we've lost much time because of one of the players of the opponents' team... These pauses exhausted my players. There were to many pauses and simulations... The referee stopped the game every time, although the contact was minimal. There was one four-minute-long pause. This is very bad for football," Osorio told journalists.

When the head coach was asked if he meant Brazil forward Neymar when he mentioned the four-minute-long pause, he said that he "had a right to have an opinion, but did not mention Neymar."

"We were not efficient enough to win. But we were playing in a well-balanced manner. We should improve anyway. I hope that our players will play more in Europe. What for my future, it matters least now. We've just lost. We have to wait. You'll learn my decision," Osorio said.
