Colombia goalkeeper David Ospina said on Monday that Japan would be a tough team to play against, ahead of their match on Tuesday in Saransk.
"We have already played against Japan. They are a good team with good technical skills. Japan pay a lot of attention to details and that's why we'll be playing against a tough opponent tomorrow. We know how crucial the first game at the World Cup is, and we hope we'll do well tomorrow," Ospina told journalists.
The goalkeeper added that he was happy to see so many Colombian fans arrive in the city to support their national team.
Ospina also said that he could not single out anyone in the Japanese team because the whole side had good players and it was essential for Colombia not to lose their concentration during the match.
Colombia will take on Poland and Senegal in their other two Group H matches.
