More than 100,000 foreign fans have consulted FIFA World Cup volunteers and employees of the Moscow metro at the various information stands since the 2018 World Cup kicked off on Thursday, the Moscow metro's press service told Sputnik on Tuesday.
"Volunteers and staff... have instructed more than 100,000 foreign passengers at the Moscow metro stations since the beginning of the FIFA World Cup," the press service said.
The press service added that starting from June 12 more than 150 volunteers had helped fans at more than 80 metro stations. Volunteers help fans not only to find their way around the city, but also deal with many other problems.
Volunteers can be recognized by their badges, armbands and bright red caps. Most of them speak English, German, Spanish and other languages.
