A total of 44,287 fans, which is the full capacity of the Fisht Stadium, attended the World Cup round of 16 game between Portugal and Uruguay in Sochi, FIFA announced on its website on Saturday.
Uruguay beat Portugal 2-1, with Edinson Cavani bagging a brace for Uruguay while Pepe scored the only goal for Portugal.
The Fisht Stadium will also host one of the World Cup quarter-final matches.
