MOSCOW, May 30 (Sputnik) - Panama, who have qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time in history, named their final 23-man squad for the upcoming tournament in Russia, the Panamanian Football Federation announced on its official Twitter account on Wednesday.
The country’s final squad includes:
Goalkeepers: Jose Calderon, Jaime Penedo, Alex Rodriguez;
Defenders: Felipe Baloy, Harold Cummings, Erick Davis, Fidel Escobar, Michael Murillo, Adolfo Machado, Luis Ovalle, Roman Torres;
Midfielders: Jose Luis Rodriguez, Edgar Barcenas, Armando Cooper, Anibal Godoy, Gabriel Gomez, Valentin Pimentel, Alberto Quintero;
Forwards: Abdiel Arroyo, Ismael Diaz, Blas Perez, Luis Tejada, Gabriel Torres.
Panama will play Belgium, Tunisia and England in Group G at the World Cup.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be held in Russia between June 14 and July 15 at 12 stadiums across 11 cities.
