Colombia head coach Jose Pekerman said on Monday that he hoped that his side's injured midfielder James Rodriguez would be able to rejoin the squad for their World Cup round of 16 match against England.
The game will be held in Moscow on Tuesday. Rodriguez was injured and substituted soon after the half-hour mark during Colombia's 1-0 victory over Senegal on June 28.
"We learned the good news after his medical tests. The MRI scan revealed that the injury wasn't serious. So, there's a day and a half left to see how he feels. And we hope that he'll be able to play," Pekerman told journalists.
