MOSCOW, June 5 (Sputnik) - AS Monaco football club central defender Kamil Glik is a doubt for Poland at the FIFA World Cup after he damaged his shoulder in training, media reported on Monday.
According to the goal.com news website, the 30-year-old Polish footballer injured his shoulder attempting an overhead kick during training. The player was included in Poland’s final squad and was likely to be a starter for head coach Adam Nawalka.
Glik will undergo medical tests in Nice on Tuesday to see how bad the damage is and whether he has a chance of being fit for the tournament.
Poland will play against Senegal, Colombia and Japan in Group H during the World Cup, which will kick-off in Russia on June 14, with the final to be played on July 15.
