Portugal forward Bernardo Silva said his side had made some mistakes in their Round of 16 match against Uruguay.
Uruguay defeated Portugal 2-1 in Sochi on Sunday (AEST) and will face France in the quarter-finals on Friday while Portugal have been eliminated from the tournament.
"We were good in the second half and, probably, deserved a better result, but Uruguay played confidently while we have made some mistakes that we were not supposed to make in a match against such opponent," Silva said.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on June 14 and will continue until July 15, with the matches being played in 11 cities across Russia.
